Dodgers Dream Foundation Renovates Baseball Field at Valley Plaza Park
The field is the 15th to be built or renovated.

A renovated baseball field in in North Hollywood was dedicated Saturday, thanks to funding provided by the Dodgers Dream Foundation, LA84 Foundation and Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks.
The field is the 15th to be built or renovated under the auspices of the Dodgers Dream Foundation, created in 1998 to provide educational, athletic and recreation opportunities for youth in the greater Los Angeles area, with a special emphasis in helping traditionally underserved youth
In a program begun in 2003, 13 baseball fields have been renovated and two built.

The Dodgers Dream Foundation, the LA84 Foundation, which manages Southern California's share of the surplus from the 1984 Summer Olympics, and the Los Angeles City Department of Recreation and Parks committed last summer to create eight new Dodgers Dreamfields in Los Angeles and a ninth in an unincorporated area of Los Angeles County.
The Dodgers Dreamfield at Valley Plaza Park is the sixth of those nine, all dedicated since March. Three more dedications are planned by the end of the year. The Dodgers Dream Foundation has a goal bringing the total number of fields renovated or built to 50.

The Dodgers Dream Foundation is funded through private donations and various fundraisers. Team finances are not used.
