Injured Hiker Trapped For Days In Griffith Park Rescued
Los Angeles Fire Department rescue crews worked Tuesday morning to airlift an injured hiker trapped at the bottom of a Griffith Park ravine.

LOS ANGELES, CA — An injured hiker, who may have been trapped for days in the rugged and remote terrain of central Griffith Park, was being airlifted to safety Tuesday morning.
The 60-year-old man was found conscious but unable to walk at the bottom of a ravine shortly before 9 a.m., according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. Authorities believe the man may have fallen as many as two days ago. A paramedic was lowered from hovering helicopter to aid the man as ground crews hiked to his location, Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey said.
Firefighters and the Griffith Park Rangers worked to assess his condition before treating him and airlifting him to the hospital.
