L.A. Area Emmy Awards Given Saturday

The awards are for broadcast achievements produced or solely financed and controlled by Los Angeles television stations or cable television systems.

The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences' 63rd Los Angeles Area Emmy Awards will be held Saturday at 5:30 p.m. at Leonard H. Goldenson Theatre in the NoHo Arts District. 

The awards are given for broadcast achievements produced or solely financed and controlled by Los Angeles television stations or cable television systems. The Governors Award will be presented to Wednesday's Child, a program dedicated to finding homes for hard-to-place foster children, and its host Christine Devine.

Presenters will include KTTV's Carlos Amezcua and Tony Valdez, NBC4's Chuck Henry, CBS2's Josh Rubenstein and KMEX's Oswaldo Borraez and Gabriela Teissier.
