NoHo Senior Arts Colony Launches Latest Arts Exhibition Featuring Its Own Residents

The senior community integrates a full-scale, professional art gallery within its community that displays the work of local artists.

From a press release:

The NoHo Senior Arts Colony Apartments, a senior apartment community for adults ages 62+, will debut the artwork of one of its very own residents, Caroline McElroy, at its latest professional art exhibition titled “Caroline & Jan – Ways of Seeing” on September 16, 2014.

“The NoHo Senior Arts Colony was developed around the idea of creating an active, engaging environment centered around the concept of life-long learning and immersion into the arts,” explained Louie Perez, Director of Asset Management at Meta Housing Corporation, the developer of the NoHo Senior Arts Colony Apartments.

According to Perez, the arts-focused senior apartment development integrates a full-scale, professional art gallery within its community that displays the artwork of local artists throughout the surrounding area, and is also open to the public.

“That one of our own residents is displaying her artwork in the gallery reinforces the impact that NoHo Senior Arts Colony is having on its residents and the community at large,” continues Perez.
