Officers set up a perimeter near Chandler Boulevard and Colfax Avenue.

Los Angeles Police Department officers set up a perimeter in a North Hollywood neighborhood early this morning in search of armed suspects fleeing on foot.
The chase began at 3:24 a.m., when an officer observed a man with a gun near Chandler Boulevard and Colfax Avenue, said LAPD Officer Matthew Ludwig. Seeing the officer, the man jumped into a car with three other people and fled the scene, he said.
A short pursuit followed that ended in a crash.
