Police Investigate Grisly Find near North Hollywood Park
The body of a young man was found in a wash behind a North Hollywood park.
UPDATED: A man found dead in a wash behind a North Hollywood park today had suffered head injuries, but it was unclear if he was the victim of foul play, Los Angeles police said.
Police earlier reported that the 36-year-old man had been shot, but LAPD spokeswoman Sara Faden said later that investigators determined that he had blunt force head trauma injuries.
Officers were sent to the area of Moorpark Street and Laurel Canyon Boulevard about 8:45 a.m., Faden said. She said it was not clear if the man’s death was accidental or involved foul play.
