Police Seek Help Finding Man Who Robbed $100K in Jewelry

Authorities hope the public can help track down the man who robbed Kevin's Jewelers Tuesday at the Northridge Fashion Center.

Authorities today sought public help today in the seach for a man who robbed a jewelry store at gunpoint at the Northridge Fashion Center mall, reportedly getting away with items valued at about $100,000.

It happened about 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Kevin’s Jewelers, 9301 Tampa Ave., Los Angeles police Officer Liliana Preciado said.

Fox11 reported that the stolen items were valued at $100,000.

Security video of the crime showed a man wearing a sport coat walking into the store and asking a clerk to see jewelry. When she showed him the items, he pulled out a gun, took the items, and walked out of the store.

The same suspect apparently robbed a Kevin’s Jewelers in Riverside in September, and the company has offered a $10,000 reward, Fox11 reported.
