Police Seek Hit and Run Driver in Who Killed North Hollywood Pedestrian

A pedestrian was struck and killed in North Hollywood tonight by a pickup truck whose driver left the scene, police said.

The victim was struck about 8:30 p.m. on Saticoy Street near Irvine Avenue, said Officer Jane Kim of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Media Relations Section.

Police were searching for an approximately 2000 white Toyota Tacoma that was last seen heading west on Saticoy, Kim said.

The vehicle had a small dent near the brake light on the rear left panel, she said.

No information about the victim was immediately available.
