Following the Homefront and Battlefield presentation, the Autry hosts a quilting bee in partnership with Quilts of Valor to create quilts for veterans and active military. Bring your own equipment or use one of the Autry’s sewing machines to work together as a community to honor and comfort individuals touched by war.

At 11:00 a.m., learn about quilts and context in the Civil War through a seminar with co-curators of the American Textile History Museum exhibition Homefront & Battlefield: Quilts & Context in the Civil War.
