SigAlert: Southbound 5 Closed by Collision of FedEx Big Rig
A crash involving a big rig hauling two FedEx trailers closed down all southbound lanes for more than an hour Friday morning.
A collision involving two FedEx trailers today prompted closure of the southbound Golden State (5) Freeway in Sun Valley but resulted in no injuries, authorities said.
The crash was reported about 4:45 a.m. just north of Sheldon Street, according to the California Highway Patrol. One truck crashed through a sound wall.
One of the lanes was reopened about an hour after the crash, the CHP reported. Crews worked to clear the scene.
