LOS ANGELES, CA — Police arrested a woman suspected of running over and a 91-year-old Holocaust survivor in Valley Village and fleeing the scene last month.

Authorities did not identify the suspect nor did they release the details surrounding her capture. The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors had offered a $10,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction of the person that struck and killed Gennady Bolotsky. The fatal hit and run was captured by a security camera. It showed Bolotsky walking his dog around 5:35 a.m. June 17 when a pickup truck struck him inside a marked crosswalk on Wilkinson Avenue at Magnolia Boulevard.

The pickup's driver stopped briefly after striking Bolotsky but then continued forward running over his body in the street.

"(The driver) ran over him and stopped and then just made the decision to keep driving," granddaughter Erica Bolotsky told KCAL9.

Bolotsky came to the United States from the Ukraine as a refugee during the Holocaust, another granddaughter said.

"Escaped Nazi occupation, everything was (against him) and this is how he went," Adrianna Bolotsky told KCAL9. "None of us can put these pieces together."

Still footage from security video of the crash showed a light-colored, full-size pickup truck with a camper shell and an attachment on the rear bumper. Anyone with additional information about this deadly incident was asked to call Valley Traffic Division Officer Fredo at 818-644-8029 or Officer Reyes at 818- 644-8032.
