Woman Seriously Injured in North Hollywood Home

A woman was seriously injured during an attack at a North Hollywood home today and police have detained a man for questioning.

Police were dispatched to the home at 11344 Oxnard St. at 2:25 a.m. on an “assault with a deadly weapon” call, said Los Angeles police Lt. Brian Morrison of the North Hollywood station.

Morrison said the woman was transported to an area hospital in serious condition, Morrison said.

He said police have detained a man for questioning, but would not release any further details.
