American Citizen Imprisoned? But Brad Sherman can only talk Visa Waivers?

I know there are immigrant issues which have haunted us for 20 years.  The amnesty programs from the 1990 resolved a problem but legislators have had  all these 20 years to fix it going forward.

Previous  posts on the Patch have suggested our combined problem of jobs going offshore to China, manufacturing gone, and the immigration antagonism which the hard working people of Mexico have wrongly taken the heat for….would have all been averted in some fashion had our legislators chosen to place friendship, negotiations, trade agreements, and concern with Mexico rather than Asia.  Having said this it is a disturbing situation to find Congressman Brad Sherman diverting his attention to a Visa Waiver Program, allowing espionage from Israel to take precedence over the amnesty issues.  The arguments against the Visa Waiver Exemption for Israel being the mistreatment of US Muslims and Arabs by Israel.

Yet amidst all this entanglement of immigration and undocumented parents with children born here, thus citizens.   Where is   the Congressman from the 30th district ?  He has not made one effort to resolve the immigration issue.  He has no bill in Committee dealing with the “anchor baby” issue.

Now look at what is going on in Sudan.  An American Child is imprisoned! 

 A pregnant Sudanese female doctor is scheduled to be executed next month. If she were  living in America she could safely exercise her right to marry or not marry, continue the pregnancy or not continue it, worship or not worship as a Christian, BUT in Sudan she is going to be executed.  Not because she committed a crime, robbed someone, killed someone, was caught in any manner of betrayal of her country’s safety.  She is scheduled to be executed for one reason only: because she is Christian.

Where is Brad Pitt with all his concerns for Sudan?  Where is George Clooney?  Where is Brad Sherman?

The State of California, the legislators of the State, finally acknowledged the genocide of Armenians this year.  Genocide for their nationality and religion.   However, Congress and the White House have dragged their feet to acknowledge the slaughter of Armenians in 1915.

if you could pause for one moment amidst your campaigning for your 9th term.  If you could pause one moment amidst your negotiations with your donors/investors as you make the way for Warner Center “Manhattan West”

 If you could pause one moment  and address this obvious violation of HUMAN rights in the most dramatic fashion.  A mother to be executed upon the birth of her child. AND HER SON WHO IS AN AMERICAN CITIZEN (anchor baby) IS IN PRISON WITH HIS MOTHER.   All because they are Christians.

They are keeping Martin in prison with his mother because they are prohibiting his Christian father from caring for him, as they consider the child a Muslim.   If the sentence is carried out Ibrahim (the mother) would become the first person to be executed for apostasy under the 1991 penal code, prompting concerns that the charge may increasingly be used against anyone who converts from Islam.”

Comprehensive immigration reform is vital - I think it should be in the forefront before we ramble off with the politics of Visa Waivers.  I know if we ElectMarkReed.com he will attend to this.  It is a shame he is not already in office to effect a change in the life of this mother in Sudan and the AMERICAN CITIZEN imprisoned with her.... A CHILD....an American Child.
