Battery Fire Breaks Out At Lake Balboa Residential Property

A fire involving one or more batteries broke out at a residential property in Lake Balboa Wednesday night.

LOS ANGELES, CA — Firefighters quickly knocked down a fire Wednesday night at a detached outbuilding in the rear of a Lake Balboa home that involved a lithium-ion battery.

Crews were dispatched at around 6:50 p.m. to the 6800 block of Forbes Avenue, near Vanowen Street, in response to the fire, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The fire had broken out in a 10' x 15' outbuilding behind the home.
