Bomb Threat Forces Northridge Bank Evacuation

Police responded to a bomb threat issued against the Chase Bank on Plummer Street.

NORTHRIDGE, CA — A bomb threat forced the evacuation of employees and customers at a Chase bank branch in Northridge Tuesday morning.

Police were called to the bank branch in the 19500 block of Plummer Street at about 10 a.m., according to the Los Angeles Police Department. As of 11:30 a.m., the evacuation and investigation remained ongoing, said LAPD Officer Tony Im.

"It's a bomb threat," Im told Patch. "There is not a standoff."

A bomb squad was dispatched to the scene and deemed it safe. No injuries or arrests were reported.

The investigation is ongoing.
