Screening of the Lady Burlesque

The Oakridge Estate at 18650 Devonshire Blvd. in Northridge will show The Lady Burlesque starring Barbara Stanwyck on Saturday, April 25 at 1pm.  The film was made in 1943 and directed by Wild Bill Wellman.  He directed her in 4 more movies and directed Jack Oakie in 4.  He won the Academy Award for directing A Star is Born in 1937.  The Lady Burlesque was inspired in part by the marriage of Barbara and Frank Fay.  You can register at http://www.TheOakridgeEstate.org.  Donations are appreciated.
