Tour of the Oakridge Estate

The Oakridge Estate at 18650 Devonshire Blvd. in Northridge has a tour planned for Saturday, April 25 at 10am.  Docents will lead the 75 minute tour of the home built for Barbara Stanwyck in 1937.  She bought the land with her agent Zeppo Marx and they built homes there and started a horse ranch called Marwyck, a combination of their names.  After she married Robert Taylor she sold the house in 1941 to Jack Oakie who renamed it Oakridge.  There is a rich history to learn about this historical landmark.  Comfortable walking shoes are recommended.

Advanced registration is required and available at http://www.theOakridgeEstate.org.  Admission is $18 per person.  Please arrive 10 minutes prior to check-in.  Parking is up the hill at the driveway east of the park entrance.
