CHATSWORTH, CA — The Pacific movie theater in Chatsworth is set for demolition to be rebuilt as an industrial complex.

The owner of the Pacific Theater chain, Decurion Corporation, filed a permit application with the city to demolish the theater located at 9201 Winnetka Avenue, The Real Deal reported.

The theater will be replaced by an industrial complex over 100,000 square feet bigger than the existing theater, which will also displace the existing Orangetheory Fitness gym and yogurt shop, according to What Now Los Angeles.

The theater has been closed since March 2020 due to the pandemic, What Now Los Angeles reported, and Decurion Corporation filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in June.
