SIMI VALLEY, CA –The cows will be happy as "Eat Mor Chikin"devotees turned out in droves Wednesday night -- despite nippy temperatures -- for the campout/sleepover for the new Chick-fil-A restaurant that opened Thursday in Simi Valley at 2460 Sycamore Drive..
The "First 100 Campout," a tradition for the Atlanta-based chain, is, in short, a parking-lot party where hardcore Chick-fil-A fans line up hours ahead of opening time to be the first 100 customers through the doors to score a year of free meals.
The first 100 won a digital-offer card pre-loaded with a year of free Chick-fil-A -- 52 meals consisting of a chicken sandwich, waffle potato fries and a beverage.

Josh Alexander, the Simi Valley franchise owner and operator, looked forward to the celebration saying it reflected his desire to positively support the local community from day one.
Alexander began his career affiliation with Chick-fil-A after serving as a marketing intern at the business during his senior year at the University of Kentucky, and then stayed on with the fast-food chain, even meeting his wife, Hannah, at the restaurant.
