The LAUSD's MiSiS Crisis Continues
Despite assurances by the district, thousands of students are effected. [OPINION]

The LAUSD has continuously publicised the talking point that “only” 1% of the students were affected by the MiSiS crisis. However, almost a month into the school year it is obvious that this statistic is far from accurate. A headline from the Los Angeles Daily News states that the “MiSiS computer mess could impact college applications.” There are also reports that “the system is making it difficult for campus-based educators to identify students who are gifted, special education or English language learners.”
Has the district been attempting to cover-up the seriousness of the problem or are they truly oblivious? Either way, this represents incompetence and the buck should stop at the top. It is time to fire the Superintendent. If you agree, sign the petition at https://www.change.org/p/dr-richard-vladovic-fire-superintendent-john-deasy.
