Moratorium on Adult Film Production Lifted

A test showing a performer had HIV ended up being a false positive.

A moratorium on adult film production was lifted today when a trade industry group announced a test showing that a performer was positive for HIV turned out to be erroneous.

“Yesterday’s potentially positive HIV test by (an) adult performer was a false positive,” according to the Free Speech Coalition. “The performer does not have HIV. Additionally, the first generation performers who were tested proactively have also come back negative.

“Production on adult film can resume safely.”
