Newcastle Motors: A Forty Year Old Dream Comes True

At a time when many businesses are struggling to survive, one local family owned & operated company stands out like a diamond in the rough, fulfilling the owner, Cosmo Torres’ 40 year dream. After years of working for someone else his dream evolved into Newcastle Motors, Incorporated on September 28, 1976. Newcastle Motors, Inc. has proudly provided the Simi Valley and surrounding areas with professional, and affordable automotive collision repair services since then.

Cosmo, or PaPa, as nearly everyone knows him, has been blessed to have his family at his side working with him as Newcastle Motors has grown and expanded. His son Eddie, daughter Leslie and other family members work there daily to grow the family dream into a reality.

Newcastle Motors has proudly served clients with their sole purpose being focused on creating their customers’ total satisfaction.  The Torres family has cared for the vehicles of generation after generation of customers. “When my customers first came in they would come back when they required more work because they were pleased with how they were treated, like family. Over the years, their sons or daughters would come to us and now we are seeing their grandchildren coming through our doors.” said Cosmo.

When asked about Newcastle Auto Body, Professional Race Car Driver and auto enthusiast Wally Milatz had the following to say. Loyalty is not just a quality Newcastle Motor’s customers possess, several of their employees have been with the family run company since it opened in Simi Valley back in 1986.

Newcastle Motors will be moving to a brand new 10,000 sq. ft. facility this month just a few blocks from their current location.  The new location offers Wi-Fi for customer convenience in a beautiful, new, spacious lobby. There are also separate offices for insurance adjusters to work in. They boast state of the art equipment including a new Tru-Point Sonic 360-2 frame measurement system, large spot welder capability, and a new paint booth.  This technology used by Newcastle's highly trained technicians, coupled with over 40 years of knowledge and experience allows them to provide exceptional work on up to 20 cars at a time.

“It has taken 40 years, but my dream is finally coming true,” Cosmo said. "We love our customers and enjoy serving the community."

Newcastle plans to have a Grand Opening Ceremony next month on Saturday, June 7th at their new facility located at 4460 Ish Drive in Simi Valley.

When asked what the future looked like for Newcastle Motors, Eddie Torres said, “I have a five year old son, and if he is interested, I would love for him to take over the family business.”
