Northridge Man Fatally Shot Behind His Apartment Building: LAPD

Paramedics responded to the scene but were unable to save the man.

NORTHRIDGE, CA — A 28-year-old man found fatally wounded in an alley behind an apartment complex in Northridge was identified by authorities Monday as police sought to identify whoever killed him.

Pedro Davora of Northridge was pronounced dead at the scene in a rear alley in the 19100 block of Bryant Street, near Vanalden Avenue East of Tampa Avenue, according to the Los Angeles County medical examiner's office.

The homicide is believed to be gang-related, according to Officer Norma Eisenman of the Los Angeles Police Department's Media Relations Division.

Officers were dispatched at about 4:30 a.m. Sunday to the apartment complex in response to a shots fired call, Eisenman said.

"When the officers arrived, they discovered the victim in the rear alley of his apartment suffering from multiple gunshot wounds," according to an LAPD news release.

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded but were unable to save Davora.

"A fight involving multiple individuals occurred shortly before the shooting," police said. "Detectives are working to identify the suspect, or suspects."
