Northridge Teen Struck By Hit And Run Driver

Police are asking for help finding a driver who struck a teen leaving the basketball court at the Northridge Recreation Center: BREAKING​.

NORTHRIDGE, CA — A teenager leaving the basketball court at the Northridge Recreation Center was struck by a hit and run driver Wednesday night, leaving him seriously injured.

Police Thursday are asking for help finding the unidentified driver, who fled the scene in Northridge Park.

The hit and run happened late Wednesday night in the rec center's parking lot at the 10000 block of Reseda Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The 19-year-old man was leaving a basketball court at the Northridge Recreation Center with a friend when a car struck him in a parking lot and drove away, according to broadcast reports.

The suspect car was only described as a sedan missing a side mirror. There was no description of the driver.
