Possible Suicide At Santa Clarita-Area Gun Range Reported

NEWHALL, CA – A man suffered a fatal gunshot wound at the Oak Tree Gun Club outside Newhall and his death was being investigated Thursday as a suicide.

A call requesting a paramedic for a gunshot victim was made at 9:10 p.m. Wednesday in the 23100 block of Coltrane Avenue, said Deputy Trina Schrader of the Sheriff's Information Bureau.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene, she said.
