2 Found Dead In Novato Apartment

NOVATO, CA – Two people were found dead Monday morning in an apartment in Novato.

Novato police conducted a welfare check shortly after 9 a.m. Monday at an apartment in the 1500 block of Hill Road. The resident had not responded to calls from family members since Saturday, police said.

When no one answered the door, police entered the apartment and found a deceased man and woman.

Detectives are investigating the cause of deaths, which police called "suspicious."

"We have determined that there is no threat to the community at this time," officials said in a statement. "We will be releasing more information as the investigation allows."
