3 Alleged DUI Drivers Arrested In Novato
Police are urging those out for a weekend night of fun to decide before going out whether to drink or drive - you can't do both.

NOVATO, CA -- At the start of the Labor Day weekend, a police checkpoint netted three arrests for drunken driving in Novato on Friday night, authorities said today. The DUI/drivers license checkpoint on westbound San Marin Drive at West Campus Drive screened nearly 2,000 vehicles.
A total of three people were arrested on suspicion of drunken driving. Nine drivers were cited or arrested for operating a vehicle unlicensed or with a suspended or revoked license.
Police are urging those out for a weekend night of fun to decide before going out whether to drink or drive - you can't do both. Designate a sober driver before going out; map another way to get home safely -- by
taking a cab or a ride-share service -- or use public transportation.

Also, bars and restaurants statewide have created non-alcoholic specialty drinks called 'DDrinks' for sober drivers.
