Accused Thieves Arrested, Stolen Items Recovered In Novato

Investigators recovered property related to four recent Novato burglaries and thefts, police said.

NOVATO, CA – Novato police arrested two people suspected of stealing property in four recent burglaries and thefts around the city, authorities reported Monday.

Police approached the Novato residents, parolee Heather Howard and probationer Louis Thorsson, last Friday at a storage building on the 2000 block of Novato Blvd. They were spotted carrying a large speaker box that appeared to be an item stolen during a recent auto burglary, according to police.

Investigators searched the pair and recovered property related to four recent Novato burglaries and thefts, police said. Investigators were working to contact the victims.

Howard was arrested on suspicion of possession of stolen property and was placed on a parole hold. Thorsson was arrested on suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of stolen property, and a probation violation. Both Howard and Thorsson were booked into Marin County Jail.
