Acrylic Landscape Painting--Paint Marin!

4 Fridays: June 3, 10, 17, 24, 10:00 am – 1:00 pm at MarinMOCA

Prerequisite: None

Paint the landscapes of Marin at our weekly Friday series in MarinMOCA's classroom. Both beginners and experienced will profit from these interesting sessions. The subjects are:

FARMLANDS AROUND WESTERN MARIN
ANGEL ISLAND AND RACCOON STRAITS
MOUNT TAMALPAIS AND RICHARDSON BAY
TENNESSEE VALLEY AND COVE

The subjects will be fully demonstrated at each session with paint-along lectures on the application of acrylic paint on canvas. In addition you will learn composition, color theory, perspective, and pitfalls to avoid in producing your work along with supportive critiques.

Bring art supplies that you have and a supply list for additional material will be furnished at the first session. Suitable brushes for acrylics will be discussed, as well as preferred basic tube colors for this complete painting course.

Bernard has been instructing classes at MarinMOCA for six years and has been showing his art in Marin County galleries since 1960. He is a graduate of the California School of Fine Art and the Academy of Advertising Art in San Francisco.
