Atria Proposes Toast in Residents' Honor

Thousands of Atria residents across the country celebrate together with a synchronized champagne toast in their honor on Thursday, including residents at Atria Tamalpais Creek in Novato.

Atria communities are home to more than 13,000 seniors in 27 states, and the nationwide party caps Resident Appreciation Month, a 31-day celebration of the residents Atria serves.

John Zikmund, executive director at Atria Tamalpais Creek, said residents and employees made the toast "to celebrate the wonderful contributions that Atria residents bring to the lives of our employees each day, as well as honor their past and present contributions to society.”

Atria’s coast-to-coast senior toast was created as a way to show residents they are appreciated and to connect them with fellow residents in other states.
