The Novato Republican Women, Federated is offering a $2,000 college scholarship to a high school senior living in Novato who will be attending college in the fall of 2013.
As part of the merit-based scholarship application, students are asked to write an essay discussing the following:
“Explain the terms deficit and debt as they relate to government spending. Discuss how the national budget and government debt affect our fiscal health, our national security and your future.”

Applications are available at the Novato high schools’ counseling offices and at www.NovatoRWF.org or by calling Camie Studley at 892-2789.
The complete application must be received by April 19, 2013.
