Marin County to Host Workshop on Land Use Regulatory & Customer Service Improvements

The County of Marin recently initiated a process to identify and evaluate strategies for more efficiently reviewing development projects in the unincorporated county that are consistent with the Marin Countywide Plan and other important land use and zoning regulations. The process is spearheaded by an Advisory Committee that will identify opportunities to reduce bureaucracy, achieve a more timely process for reviewing development proposals, and allow for greater consumer choice and flexibility for permit-related services. Advisory Committee findings and recommendations will be presented to the Board of Supervisors for consideration and possible action.
