
The 7th annual Novato Celebrates! free multicultural community festival will take place on Saturday, April 27, 2013 from noon to 5 p.m. in Miwok Park, 2200 Novato Boulevard in Novato.
Miwok Park is a grassy area with a canopy of shade trees that fronts the Marin Museum of the American Indian.

Festival activities will include culturally-themed interactive booths, ethnic foods for purchase from Mama’s African Kitchen, Salvadoran pupusas from Iglesia Nueva Jerusalen, and water and snacks from our local Girls Scouts and a stage show featuring multicultural performances including a demonstration of Karate and Tai Chi by Ito’s White Tiger Dojo, and from the Novato PD K9 Unit.
Drawings for free prizes will take place throughout the day.

In 2006, the City Council approved a "Multicultural Day" to be celebrated each year on the last Saturday in April. On this day, the Novato Multicultural Advisory Commission presents Novato Celebrates! to highlight and embrace cultural diversity in Novato.
