The Novato Gymnastics Team competed at the Heart of a Champion Invitational on February 8-10, held at the Pasadena Convention Center.
Rachel Barnett earned 37.500 points to win the All Around in the Xcel Platinum Division, and the highest score in the entire session. Barnett also won Uneven Bars with 9.600, and Balance Beam with 9.500.
In the Level Seven 14+ Division, Emmy Nam won Balance Beam with 9.075, placed 2nd on Uneven Bars with 8.950, and 3rd All Around with 35.500. Carina Berryhill won the Vault with 9.300 and Floor Exercise with 9.150, while taking 5th All Around with 33.800. Sofia Doyle, in the 11 Year Old Division, won the All Around with 36.700, and Uneven Bars with 9.600. Doyle also placed 2nd on Balance Beam and Floor Exercise, with 9.200 and 9.100, respectively.
Kaila Greenstein took 3rd place on Balance Beam with 8.600 in the Level Nine Senior Division, and 5th All Around with 31.150.
Next up, the Novato Gymnastics Team will compete at the Spirit of the Flame Challenge on February 22-24 in San Jose.
