Rhythm Dance Center's Charity Dance Benefits LITA (Love is the Answer)

Thanks to the talented and generous students of Rhythms Dance Center for selecting LITA (Love is the Answer) as the beneficiary of their 2013 Charity Dance performed at their annual winter recital on Feb. 5 in Petaluma. Every year the students select a different charity to benefit from the Charity Dance.

"We were so honored and so impressed by these wonderful young dancers," said Jenay Cottrell, executive director of LITA.  "It was heartwarming to know that these young dancers care so much about the elderly residents of Marin's long-term care facilities we serve."

Founded in 1975, LITA is a nonprofit committed to taking the lonely out of aging by matching volunteer friends with residents of Marin's skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities and residential care homes. We facilitate ongoing friendships that help to bring happiness, support and companionship to otherwise lonely lives.
