Police said they arrested three people who would follow victims home after they withdrew cash from the bank.
NOVATO, CA — Three people were arrested on Thursday in connection with a string of armed robberies in Marin County, where victims were targeted shortly after withdrawing large sums of cash from a Novato bank, police said.
The investigation began on November 29, 2025, when a resident in unincorporated Novato reported being robbed at gunpoint in their driveway by a masked assailant, according to the Marin County Sheriff's Office. The victim had just returned home after visiting a bank in Novato. Police were able to get a partial description of the getaway vehicle and its direction of travel.
Reviewing the bank's security footage, investigators said they quickly spotted a car following the victim's vehicle as they left the bank. This led them to identify the car's registered owner and begin looking into their known associates.
