Bank of Marin Honored for Philanthrophy
The bank donates cash, while employees volunteer for nonprofits.
Bank of Marin has been named to the San Francisco Business Times annual “Top Corporate Philanthropist” list for the 11th consecutive year. The list of 75 companies recognizes the generosity of Bay Area businesses in total giving and volunteerism. Bank of Marin was also one of twenty companies awarded the Community Commitment Award for giving more than 1% of profits to charitable causes. Fabia Butler, Community & Public Relations Manager, accepted the award on behalf of the bank.
In addition to the bank’s financial contributions to non-profits, employees volunteer more than 10,000 hours during the course of the year. Officers of the bank also serve on 60 local non-profit boards across Marin, San Francisco, Napa, Sonoma and Alameda Counties.
“We are deeply committed to the communities we serve and are very proud of our employees who contribute their time and talent to so many local non-profits,” said Russell A. Colombo, President and Chief Executive Officer. “As a leading community bank, giving back is intrinsic to our culture and it is critical to the success of our business.”
