Bicyclist Killed In Head-On Crash From Novato
Maayan Jones, 46, of Novato was killed in a head-on collision with a vehicle in the Diablo area of unincorporated Contra Costa County.
NOVATO, CA – A bicyclist killed in a head-on collision with a vehicle Wednesday afternoon in the Diablo area of unincorporated Contra Costa County has been identified as 46-year-old Maayan Jones of Novato.
The crash was reported around 4:30 p.m. on a narrow winding road called Mount Diablo Scenic Boulevard near Diablo Ranch Drive.
Jones was transported to Athenian School by ambulance and then airlifted to a hospital, where he died Wednesday night. Investigators said he was wearing a helmet at the time of the
crash.
