The scholarship honors the memory of a former tech entrepreneur who lived in Novato.

Three Novato graduating high school seniors just got some cash to go along with their diplomas.
Bret Barrett Scholarship Committee awarded $1,000 scholarships, continuing a program it's held annually since 1997, the Marin Independent Journal reports.
The recipients were Selene Leong of NOVA Independent Study School, Julia Raven (San Marin) and Zaid Elkurdi (Novato).
