Vegetation Fire Breaks Out Near Indian Valley Golf Club In Novato
The fire, which moved at a slow rate of speed, scorched 2 acres, fire officials said.

NOVATO, CA — Firefighters have halted the forward progress of a vegetation fire that sparked Sunday afternoon near Indian Valley Golf Club in Novato.
The blaze, called the Indian Fire, broke out near the golf course off of Vineyard Road, according to the Marin County Fire Department. The fire, which moved at a slow rate of speed, scorched 2 acres, fire officials said.
By 2 p.m., crews stopped forward progress of the flames. The fire was 80 percent contained.

Marin County Fire and Novato Fire are responding to a Vegetation Fire off Vineyard Rd Novato, area of Indian Valley Golf Course. Initial reports indicate 1/2 acre with moderate rate of spread.
