NOVATO, CA — Chabad Jewish Center of Novato is launching a new fascinating 4 week class: Jewpernatural: Signs, Spirits, and Superstition in Jewish Belief, a new four-week course from the beginning Monday, February 24.
The course addresses questions many people are asking today:
Do dreams have meaning?
Is there such a thing as destiny?
What does Judaism say about astrology and the “evil eye”?
How does Jewish tradition understand souls and the afterlife?
Drawing on Talmud, Jewish philosophy, and Kabbalah, Jewpernatural offers a grounded, thoughtful approach to topics that often generate curiosity, skepticism, and uncertainty.
The four sessions include:
- Dreams & Direction
- Stars & Signs
- Jinx & The Evil Eye
- Para & Normal (souls, angels, spirits, and the afterlife)
“People are curious about these topics, but they also want serious, authentic answers,” said Rabbi Menachem Landa of Chabad Jewish Center of Novato. “This course helps participants separate myth from meaning and gain practical Jewish perspective for real life.”
The course is open to all, regardless of background or prior Jewish learning.
