Save the Date: Día de los Muertos Celebration!⁠ ⁠ When: Saturday, October 24, 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM (Procession begins at 3:15 PM) ⁠ Where: Novato Civic Green, 901 Sherman Avenue ⁠ Traditional foods ⁠from Manny's Tacos and Tommy's Salsa Live performances by Ireri Ballet Folklórico and Xiuhcoatl Danza Azteca ⁠ Join us for the City of Novato's Día de los Muertos celebration! Come honor and celebrate loved ones who are no longer with us by contributing to our community ofrenda, festive crafts, delicious food, and vibrant music. All ages are welcome! There will be music, car ofrenda display, community procession, activities, face painting, and a community ofrenda (altar).Mark your calendars and invite your friends and family for an unforgettable cultural celebration.

The community is invited to a quiet and contemplative Celtic SoulSong meditation at First Presbyterian Church of San Rafael at 1510 Fifth Ave, San Rafael on October 7. at 5:30 pm. The service will include soul soothing music, readings from Celtic poetry, silence and candle lighting. This is a program of the One World One Spirit contemplative spirituality program of First Presbyterian Church. The chapel is handicap accessible.

Home Ground Habitats is a native plant nursery, demonstration garden, and education center located in Indian Valley, Novato, CA. As a community-centered organization, we focus on environmental education, California native plant propagation, and ethical land stewardship on nearly one acre of land.
 Expect to see our amazing community partners: Marin County Parks, Marin Monarch Working Group, Happy Bat Solutions, Pesticide Free Zone, Pollinator Partnership, California Bluebird Recovery Program, Museum of American Indian, and WildCare. Presentations and a special flower press demonstration will be scheduled throughout the day for even more learning.
