Mill Valley Arts Commission Announces Call for Artwork

Mill Valley Arts Commission announces "CALL FOR ARTWORK" for 2015-2016 Gallery Shows Deadline is approaching: Entries must be received

The Mill Valley Arts Commission is now accepting 2D artwork (sorry, we cannot accommodate 3D art or jewelry) from artists and/or guest curators in the greater Bay Area to be considered for a show in the City Hall Council Chambers or Mill Valley Community Center. Some of the shows may include more than one artist. Shows are hung for one month; opening receptions are held on the first Tuesday of the month, and are part of the downtown Mill Valley First Tuesday ArtWalks..

Each artist or guest curators must be able to mount a show of at least 15 pieces of artwork.

Artists or guest curators should mail a CD with 10 examples of the artwork in jpg format representing the type and range of the art that would be included in the show and the Artist/Curator Information Sheet to Mill Valley Arts Commission c/o Mill Valley Community Center 180 Camino Alto, Mill Valley. Attn: Call for Artwork, along with the $25 artist submission fee.

** Please note -Deadline: Entries must be received by 5 p.m. Tuesday, March 17, 2015.

• Artists with individual shows at City Hall Council Chambers or Mill Valley Community Center in 2014-2015 are not eligible for the 2015-2016 Call for Artwork.
• Guest Curators may not repeat a previous year’s collection
