WHY

The Bay Area job market is getting increasingly competitive, and job seekers face stiff competition for each opening.  "When in unchartered employment territory, both a map and a guide can help individuals who want to plan new career paths navigate successfully, says Suzanne Rubel of the Career and Personal Development Institute in San Francisco.  The newly founded Marin Career Services will deliver a full range of career programs which have previously not been offered in Marin.  "We want to help people consider the many ways their current job skills are transferable to other careers and new emerging fields," says Joetta Scott.  The workshop is designed for a small group, so that each participant will receive the professional support they need to take a successful next step.
