Caregiver Valentine Ideas
Caregivers are often too busy caring for others to treat themselves. So help your favorite caregiver remember how important they are.

Valentine’s Day is almost here and it isn’t just for those who are romantically in love. It’s also a day to remember the other special people in your life: parents, siblings, teachers, mentors, best friends. Chances are one of them cares for a loved one. That means that he or she usually doesn’t have time to treat themselves; they are too busy making sure someone else is being taken care of.
So why not brighten his or her day with something special? Here is a list of eight Valentine’s Day gift ideas to consider:
- Tickets to a movie or a local theater production. Sometimes there’s nothing better!
- A gift card to a favorite book store so that he or she can select a new book to read.
- If your caregiver does digital, then consider a Kindle or Nook book.
- A foot massage. Most malls now have 5 minute foot massage stations.
- Art supplies for the artist.
- A one-day pass to local county or state park.
- Fun cooking utensils or unusual baking tools if he or she loves to cook.
- A certificate to a favorite coffee shop or gift card to Starbucks or Peets.
All of these will encourage favorite hobbies or activities that are personally meaningful to the recipient. Plus you will enjoy the feeling of having reminded someone who is most likely stressed and busy thinking about someone else that they have not been forgotten.
