Celebrate the Harvest with a Wine Country Chef

Chef Tracey Shepos Cenami of Kendall-Jackson presents her recipes for a Wine Country harvest party on Nov. 5 at Fresh Starts Chef Events.

Chef Tracey Shepos Cenami of Kendall-Jackson will share a harvest menu of Wine Country recipes from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5, at Fresh Starts Chef Events.

A graduate of the California Culinary Academy, Chef Tracey is a certified artisan cheesemaker and enjoys cooking produce grown next to her kitchen at Kendall-Jackson Wine Estate and Gardens in Fulton. Her menu:

  • Kendall-Jackson Estate Squash and Lobster Bisque, Pickled Persimmon, Crème Fraîche
  • Cabernet-Braised Short Ribs, Parsnip Purée, Spiced Baby Carrots, Dry-Cured Black Olives
  • Caramel Panna Cotta, Burnt Caramel Cream, Candied Almonds, Smoked Salt

The chef, raised with an affinity for sampling things like foie gras and frogs’ legs, has worked in New York restaurants, tried her hand at catering and been a consulting chef as well as helping to open Willi’s Wine Bar in Santa Rosa. Her main affinity these days is the hinge between food and the delicious wines made by Kendall-Jackson, an iconic family-run winery founded in 1974.
