Child Nearly Drowns In Novato Pool
A 3-year-old boy is in critical condition after nearly drowning Tuesday evening in a pool, according to the Novato Police Department.
NOVATO, CA — A 3-year-old boy is in critical condition after nearly drowning Tuesday evening in a pool, according to the Novato Police Department.
The incident was first reported at 5:38 p.m. Minutes later, Novato Fire personnel and police found the boy unresponsive in a family pool at the home in the 1200 block of Parkwood Drive.
Paramedics performed life-saving measures on the boy and took him to a local hospital. He remains in critical condition, police said.

The incident remains under investigation. Police said they will not release the identity of the child and family members.
"The Novato Police Department is investigating the circumstances that lead to this unfortunate event," police said. "We ask that you respect their privacy during this difficult time."
