City Manager Wants Measure F Made Permanent

On July 9, 2013 Michael Frank, Novato City Manager, recommended making the temporary 1/2-cent sales tax increase (formerly Measure F) permanent via a possible ballot measure.   His proposal, regarding the Fiscal Sustainability Plan, was made at the Council meeting of July 9.   Councilmember Madeline Kellner spoke resolutely for it, with Eric Lucan and Pat Eklund speaking against it.   Councilmembers Jeanne MacLeamy and Denise Athas are undecided.   The council meeting of July 16 was cancelled July 11 so stay tuned.
