City of Novato Shares Civic Pride With Community

NOVATO, CA – Proud to live in Novato? You should be!

That’s why the city of Novato recently launched #NovatoProud. The public information program highlights community champions, local businesses, interesting facts and other stories of civic pride.

“A sense of civic pride is a cornerstone of a thriving community,” City Manager Regan Candelario said in a statement. “During these past few months, I have been impressed by the wealth of good works, incredible talent, and unique offerings we have in our community. #NovatoProud is one way we can feature our innovative and diverse businesses, extraordinary residents and one-of-a-kind community offerings, and remind people of the good work that’s taking place daily in Novato.”

This initiative, which is incorporated as part of the city’s existing website, draws attention to Novatans doing great work in the community, innovative Novato businesses and fun facts. Novato-based marketing agency Kiosk is collaborating with the city on the project.

Community members are encouraged to submit story ideas that feature one of the four themes to novatoproud@novato.org. #Novatoproud stories can be found at www.novato.org/novatoproud, and by following the city of Novato via social media on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
