Colonial Day Turns Our Lady of Loretto School Into Lorettosburg
OLL's first Colonial Day, put together by the Fifth Grade Class, was an interactive and activity based day for all grades.
The Fifth Grade class took Our Lady of Loretto School back to the Colonial Times today!
Each student manned a station or table in which they portrayed various business men and women of the Colonial Period. From the “Carpenter’s Corner” to the “Black Horse Tavern,” which served delicious cups of ginger ale, OLL students were able to experience what life was like during this period from their peers!
Not only that, but each grade was given an activity based on the Colonial businesses they were able to preview (i.e. Potter Wheels, The Woven Basket, The Master Millinery, etc.). While TK and Kindergarten students were busy at work making stamp booklets, 1st graders were diligently working on a pottery activity using clay materials!

The OLL Community looks forward to another spectacular Colonial Day next year thanks to Mrs. Herrera’s fifth grade class!
